The Road to Discovery: Fueling the STEAM Machine

The Sarasota Children’s Museum is on a mission — and we need your help to hit the road!

We’re raising $75,000 in 12 weeks to purchase a reliable truck to tow our mobile museum, the STEAM Machine. This one-of-a-kind museum-on-wheels brings hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math directly to schools, parks, and neighborhoods across Sarasota and beyond.

From launching rockets made of cardboard to decoding secret kindness messages in binary, the STEAM Machine creates powerful learning moments for kids — right where they are.

This truck is more than transportation — it’s a vehicle for impact.

Throughout the campaign, we’re rolling out family-friendly challenges, a local auction, creative activities, and plenty of opportunities to join the fun, spark curiosity, and support our community’s kids.
